I had the Bosh Tassimo brewer, and it was nothing but problems. At times it worked just fine, but at times it would pop the coffee disk and send coffee grounds all over the counter top. I called Tassimo for help, but all they told me is to make sure to use pure or distilled water. OK that’s what I was using. After many blowouts I returned it to Target. (Glad it’s gone)

Bosch TAS4511UC Tassimo Single-Serve Coffee Brewer, Silk Silver
We purchased the $99.00 one, which we found at Target. We really like it, and recommend it to others. The reason I did not give it 5 stars was because It is not easy finding a selection of the T-discs if you do not live in a large city. We live just outside of Indianapolis, so I ended up finding that Bed Bath and Beyond carry a good supply. Neither Kroger, nor WalMart had them, and Marsh carried plain flavor (Maxwellhouse).
I realize there are many options online, but was hoping not to have to go that route.
The Machine is very nice and runs smoothly. It is very easy to operate. I wish, however, that the normal cup sized T-disc would make a larger amount. I end up adding a bit more water.

This is our first experience with a Tassimo coffee maker and we’re delighted – almost feel as though we’ve emerged from the Stone Age to the 21st century!
We’re very much of the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” thought, so we felt no need for a new coffee maker. But, curiosity and favorable reports got the best of us and we now have this Bosch. What a treat!
The printed directions accompanied by illustrations are easy to follow. The booklet holds directions in several languages as well as Troubleshooting pages. (To date, we’ve had no trouble – only great coffee). The cleaning process is simple and quick, and the piercing unit is easily rinsed under running water.
So far, our favorite T-discs are the Starbucks Caffe Verona and the Carte Noir Breakfast Blend. Life is good but better with this Bosch!

We bought this machine from Target on 12/20/08. It worked great for about 3wks and then blew thru it’s first coffee disc. I emailed customer service twice regarding this issue and received NO response. We descaled the machine and thought that would take care of the problem….then when it didn’t, started to try different things, like close the machine very carefully and slowly as to make sure the seal was good. The machine would work sometimes, but other times we’d have coffee all over. Then, one morning while trying to make myself a cup, the machine started spitting water all over and wouldn’t stop. It would spit water until there was no water left in the back, all the while the yellow light was on. Then when I’d remove the water container, it would STILL try to suck water to spit.
I called customer service (our return time with Target had expired 4 dys prior) and asked them about getting a new machine. After explaining what the product was doing 6 times, yes 6, I finally gave the phone to my husband. He got them to send us a new machine…big deal. Not looking forward to the same problems….and YES….they told us we should be running distilled or bottled water thru the machine…not soft water. Doesn’t seem to make a difference either way.
Not worth the money or hassle in my opinion. Other brands of coffee makers are much better.
